Hello everyone, I am hoping to get some feedback on insuring my oreion. I had some trouble with dmv last year, they had registered my reeper as a passenger vehicle. Then I was informed about a month later that I my license was going to be suspended for a non insured vehicle because I had gotten ATV insurance not auto insurance. Please help as I understand I need to register it as a LSV with dmv but can anyone point me in the direction of an insurance company that will write the policy I need for this?
If your Reeper is registered as passenger vehicle then it should be insured the same. I would take my title and registration with me to an agent to see. State Farm will insure as well as AAA and Auto Owners.
At the very least it can be insured as a UTV, but should contain the same coverage required by a passenger vehicle.
Mine in MI is registered as a 2door car and I basically carry car insurance through auto owners. I may have a off road rider attached to my policie. I would have to dig it out to see.

Thanks very much for the feedback. I found state farm with a policy for my reeper. I am wondering also how others may be titled. I purchased my reeper out of Texas and had to use the registration from Texas to make an actual title here in NY. They titled it here as a suburban however I think if I could change that to be a utv it would be much cheaper to insure. 300 per year through state farm as a utv vs 1,100 per year as a suburban.
