Well I have the transmission back together and it should be in and on the road today,,but it's been a long struggle. If it hadn't been for Brad at Sunco and Orieon Motors at Oreion I probably would still be waiting for my dealer to get anything done. I did have my shaft welded, but I lost about 1/2" of spline and after finding that I could actually get the output shaft without buying an entire transmission, I decided to go with the new shaft. I have included pics of the welded and the new shaft. It appears that these shafts break at the point where they neck down another 2mm,,,sounds like a definite weak link. I did put quality bearings throughout the unit and I ended up leaving the shims for input and output shafts as they were, but I checked final drive and found that was a bit tight, so that shim was left out and it gave me about .0015 clearance on the final drive bearings. (which Oreion calls the differential front and rear bearings).
One of our other machines has a broken clutch/brake bracket (I included a pic). This is a very cheap flimsy bracket and I will have to do some welding and reinforcement before we put this one back into service. The stealer volunteered to get us a new bracket under warranty, but we are not going to wait. I figure it would be December before we saw that part.
Another of our machines is laid up with ignition switch problems. The machine would not shut off. The dealer would not let us repair it under warranty, so we had to truck it there and wait for his repair. This has been 3 1/2 weeks now.
Sooooo, out of five machines (all 2017 & 18's) we have two that actually have been on the road this past month. Not a good advertisement for Reepers
Sorry , couldn't sent pic of the bracket because file size was too big. I'll see if I can change it and maybe send a pic of the modified bracket before we put it back it.
