Anyone removed their fuel canister? I noticed mud in the open hole on top of mine and I can use the space to relocate my windshield washer reservoir

Not sure what you are calling the fuel canister. At the back of the tank and by the fire wall there is the fuel filter. Will have a ground wire attached. If that is what you are talking about then no. A filter is kind of important.

If so I by passed mine on my Reeper4 because it was plugged and not letting the fuel tank vent I had to replace the fuel cap with one that vents and pluged the hose comming off the fuel tank the fuel cap I used is from the reeper with an 800cc and with out the charcoal filter this solved the problem with my Reeper cutting out while running and spilling fuel out the charcoal filter

Yep, the charcoal filter, not the fuel filter, Thanks! So you left the long line from the intake intact? I'd like to plug it at the intake is possible. I did notice fuel over flowing from the canister also, just thought it was from cutting up too much. Instead of finding the center fuel cap, I should be able to just add a filter to Fitting on the tank right? And you had no check engine light from the solenoid at the intake?

I didn't know they have added a charcoal canister. This must be to help with emissions testing. Is this only on the 1100 motors or all new units including 800s I wonder.
